“This is going to be the blackest Saturday-till-Monday we’ve ever spent!”
Each self-absorbed member of the Bliss family has invited a guest to their country home without telling the others or informing Clara the maid. One after the other shy Jackie, vamp Myra, elderly Richard and sporty Sandy arrive and find themselves at the heart of planned and unplanned intrigue while the Blisses indulge in their favourite pastime of creating drama.
A perennially popular Noel Coward comedy, Hay Fever was produced by EGTG and directed by Martin Foreman. Other cast members were Wendy Brindle (Myra Arundel), Joseph Cathal (Sandy Tyrell), Oliver Cookson (David Bliss), Lois Williams (Jackie Coryton) Beverley Wright (Clara). Lighting by Gordon Hughes.
“It is a particular joy to see this classic delivered in such an effortlessly funny manner in a production that, at its best, is downright hilarious” All Edinburgh Theatre
